Tagged ABC Style

As long as these keep coming, I'll keep doing them, although I may repeat myself a few times...you are all probably sick of these, but this one is kind of fun.

A- Attached or single: Definitely attached, been with my high school sweetie for over 6 years now, and made it all official Dec. 16, 2005
B- Best Friend: Also a toss-up. I would have to say Nate and my momma.
C-Cake or Pie: Both are great. Chocolate cake or any cream pie.
D-Day of Choice: Friday. I never work on Fridays, and this usually ends up being date night with Nate.
E- Essential Item: Lip gloss...nothing feels better than having something on your lips.
F- Favorite Color: Red...a very bold color. I've never been a fan of pastels.
G- Gummi Bears or Worms: Gummi bears. These have always been one of my Dad's favorite treats...Must have rubbed off!
H- Hometown: O-Town! Lived in South Ogden since I was 9.
I- Indulgence(s): ice cream, brownies, Jamba Juice
J- January or July: I think most people would agree with me when I say July after the January we just had. There is nothing like being out in the heat swimming, hiking, playing games, whatever!
K-Kids: I will have one little boy in about 2 1/2 months!
L-Life is incomplete without: good friends and family
M- Marriage Date: December 16, 2005
N- Number of Siblings: 5: 2 brothers Derek (21) and Jaxon (13) and 3 sisters: Courtni (17), Jenna (10), and Meili (9)
O- Oranges or Apples: Apples, love the crunch.
P- Phobias or Fears: I have a couple. First off is having my patients code on me at the hospital (stop breathing or have a cardiac arrest). With all the training in the world, I'll probably still never feel comfortable in that situation. Second is driving in the snow. I get so anxious about it! That's one reason I quit hospice was so I wouldn't have to drive around in the winter.
Q- Quote(s): So many to choose from, but my lastest favorite comes from the wise Walt Disney- "if you can dream it, you can do it"
R- Reason To Smile: So many things in life to be happy about. Whenever I see Nate or my family happy, I smile. Whenever I can help a patient feel better, I smile. Whenever I see a happy baby, I smile. When my house is all clean, I smile.
S- Season: Love the early autumn....weather is perfect, leaves changing, hot chocolate, hiking, corn mazes, haunted houses, lots of fun!
T- Tag Three: Robyn, Lindsay, Hollie
U- Unknown Fact About Me: My pinky toes are both turned out sideways.
V- Vegetarian or Oppressor of Animal: Meat is definitely essential in my diet
W- Worst Habit: Forgetting to wash my face at night
X- X-Rays or Ultrasounds: Ultrasounds. It is much cooler to see a moving picture of something than a boring still shot you have no idea what it is.
Y- Your Favorite Food: mexican...especially the carne asada at Patricia's. Yum!
Z- I'll make one up: Zimbabwee or New Zealand (I know it's a stretch): Either would be amazing. Going "down under" has always been a dream of mine.

Tagged Again.....A Little Bit More About Me

So I've been tagged by Emily, now I have to rack my brains again!

The rules of the game are posted at the beginning. B: Each player answers the questions about themselves. C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog. I know you all love being tagged!

10 years ago: I was in the 8th grade, preparing for cheerleading tryouts, trying to make it through trigonometry, was in the Mia Maid Presidency, babysat every Friday night, was obsessed with N'Sync, thought Doc Martens and Lucky Jeans were the coolest things around, Maxine Soakai and Nicole Hardin were my best friends.

5 things on my to-do list today:
1-drop stuff off at the D.I.
2-buy some bigger scrubs for my growing belly
3- drop off my primary manual to the person who is teaching my class
4- exercise
5- research Ohio

I enjoy: Being with my family, shopping, traveling, getting my hair done, exercising, watching a good movie.

What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire: pay tithing, buy me an SUV, buy a house, pay off dental school, spoil my family, save some for a rainy day, give some to charity, and invest the rest.

3 of my bad habits:
1- procrasination
2- pulling at my split ends-especially in sacrament meeting
3-not putting laundry away-I have lots of piles in the bedroom of folded clothes

5 places I have lived:

1- Roy, UT
2- Littleton, CO
3- South Ogden, UT (3 different houses)
4- South Weber, UT
5- Riverdale, UT

5 jobs that I have had:

1- personal house cleaner for Julie
2- CNA at the Washington House Assisted Living
3- Hospice Nurse
4- Medical-Oncology Nurse
5- babysitter

5 Things people don't know about me: (it seems like this one comes up a lot)

1- I hate tomatoes
2- I hate talking on the phone..if I don't know the number, I won't answer-just leave a message
3- I am terrified of Freddy Krueger(my aunt showed me the movie when I was really little, and I had nightmares for years
4- I never really started reading for fun until this last year
5- It drives me crazy not to have any cash in my wallet

5 people I am tagging...Whoever hasn't done this and wants to!

My 15 Favorite Things-Tagged By Emily

1. Victoria Secret Beauty Rush Lipgloss-They come in so many different flavors, and many of them are tinted, so I don't have to mess with lipstick. Not to mention they taste pretty good too!

2. amazon.com-many of you know this is where I get my movies. I have also got books, hats, Wii games, textbooks and lots of other stuff. Check it out! It's much nicer than ebay, not having to bid.

3. Garnier Fructis Fortifying Deep Conditioner-this stuff is great. You leave it on your hair for 5-10 minutes, rinse, and you have the softest hair. I do it a few times a week.

4. High thread count sheets- there is nothing like getting into bed with extremely soft sheets! I've been watching in the ads for some more on sale-I've found some good deals at Shopko and Target.

5. Febreeze-I love the smell of the stuff, it makes everything smell just clean. I spray it in the car, on my couches, on my bed, anywhere that needs a little refreshment.

6. Jazz tickets-I have been a Jazz freak since elementary school. I have been to many exciting games at the Delta Center/Energy Solutions Arena including watching the original dream team (Malone, Stockton, Michael Jordan, etc.) back in elementary school. Not to mention that when you go to a game, it is almost a pre-requisite to go somewhere good for dinner!

7. Physicians Formula Bronzer-In these winter months, it is a must! Now that I don't go tanning every week in attempt to save my skin, I have found that this powder bronzer gives me just enough color so I don't feel like a ghost!

8. My iPod-yes, these have been out for a while, but I still love mine! I think back to the days of the discman and the walkman and have no idea how we toted those huge things around! Not to mention you could only listen to one CD or tape at a time. I can't go to the gym without an iPod!

9. Tall high heel boots-I love tall shoes in general, but there is something about wearing a pair of tall pointy boots that just make me feel great! They can dress up about any outfit. I buy a few new pair of tall boots every fall/winter.

10. Christmas CDs-my favorite right now is, Like Oprah, Josh Groban. Other favorites are Peter Brienholt, the old Mariah Carey, and many various others. There is nothing that sets the mood for the season like some good Christmas music.

11. Chunky necklaces- Ok, not very specific, but there are so many cute necklaces out nowadays! It is fun putting an outfit together and finishing it off with a cute necklace!

12. Nature Valley Sweet and Salty Granola Bars-These ones are chewey. My favorite is the almond kind. They are a great breakfast when I'm running out the door to work at 4:30 in the morning.

13. Coco Latte Machine-This little machine is great! You can make your own hot chocolate with milk and chocolate chunks rather than the powder variety. Not to mention it heats it to the exact right temperature, you never have to burn your tongue! It is also good for making your own cider..just apple juice and add your own spices.

14. Rachel Ray Cookbooks-OK, she's annoying, I know. But we have loved her recipes! None of them take long, and the recipes are a lot different than anything I've had before. One of our latest favorites is chicken rollups in phyllo dough with avacado dipping sauce. It really only takes like 15-20 minutes and you throw it in the oven. Yum-o! (Ha, Ha)

15. Candle Warmer lamps-There is nothing like walking into the house to a wonderful scent. These are great because you don't have to worry about flames. And they last forever! I have put candles under these lamps for countless hours and they never seem to shrink!

Now it's your turn to be like Oprah and list some of your favorite things! I am tagging Robyn, Alicia, Lindsay, Melissa, and Hollie. Have fun with it!

Tagged!

Alright, I've been tagged. Here are 6 things you may not know about me.

1. I went to 5 different elementary schools by the time I was in the 3rd grade. I started off by going to school where my grandpa taught, the next part of the year at the school my Mom taught at. Then we moved to Littleton, CO for 10 months, making school #3. Next, Daddy got transferred back to Utah, and I went to Marlon for the last few months of school, then had the option of switching over to Uintah for my 3rd grade year. Heck, I was a pro by then, why not!

2. I love people watching! There is nothing like sitting in a crowded place and watching the weird things people do. I love the fact that most of them don't know you are watching! People are very interesting, the things they say and the things they do--if I were to get another college degree, it would probably be in psychology.

3. I pass out quite frequently. Yes, I am strange. The doctor said I have this syndrome called neurologically mediated syncope. Whenever my body loses too much fluid, has too much medication, too hot, etc., I pass out. Basically my body has a hard time dealing with stresses, and as a defense mechanism it lowers my blood pressure, which causes me to pass out. I have passed out donating blood a few times, drawing blood, after having anesthesia, sitting in hot rooms for too long, I even passed out in a college lab once. If you ever see me do this, don't worry, I'll be fine in a few seconds!

4. I hate people seeing me without mascara! I don't know why. I really don't feel myself without mascara. I think the only people who have seen me without are Nate and my family.

5. When I was little I was obsessed with the movie Pete's Dragon. My Mom said I watched Pete's Dragon everyday for years when I was little. I still know all the songs by heart! It really is a great movie.

6. I cannot say no to people. I am just too nice sometimes. I get myself way in over my head many times because for some reason it really takes a lot for me to say no when someone asks me to do a favor. It drives Nate crazy! I never answer phone calls from work because I know they are asking if I will work an extra shift, and if I answer, I will end up saying yes. I just let them leave me a message, and if I want to I will call them back later!

I am tagging Heather and Emily--share 6 things people may not know about you!
