Updates on the Dirt ...

Yes, as of right now all we still have is just that....DIRT.  We had our pre-construction meeting this week and they say we should be getting started by the end of the month...so YAY for that :)  In the meantime, we have been picking put paint colors, choosing granite, and picking out flooring for our new abode and finalizing many other decisions and the upgrades we want.

We decided to do more of the hand-scraped laminate than we initially thought, but I am super excited about it...my dream is to have it on my whole main level.  It makes for an easier cleanup when the kiddos spill something!

We have added an extra closet in the bonus room to store my large of DVDs so they can be hidden away!

The builder was also asked by the developer to make our porch larger, which I'm okay with...now I have my eye on this porch swing :)

The exterior of the house has a little stone, and we chose this as an accent.

Here's the Master Bathroom finishes

And some of the guest bath...

Our house color is going to be the Dorian color with the gables the Dovetail.  We are having white trim and a black front door.

We didn't get a pic of the kitchen finishes, so that'll be a surprise down the road.

One of the best features of the house is we locked in our price over and month ago and since then, the prices on every lot went up almost $20,000.  Instant equity...WAHOO!

MORE UPDATES TO COME IN THE NEAR FUTURE!!!
