Baseball Season 2015

In this house, our boys must at least give baseball a TRY.  Luckily for us, not only did they try but they really enjoyed it :)  Grayson just played through theYMCA, which was a perfect speed for this kid this year.

We survived the 5-6 day a week practices and games between the two fellas, partly with the help of treats and snowcones ;)

Tucker played with the Richland National Little League, and his team was the Cubs.  They took 1st place in their age division, only losing their very first game.  They did so great!
Closing ceremonies with all the age groups
Up to bat!  This year Tuck's age group used a pitching machine.  He did surprisingly well and got so much better as the season progressed!
Don't leave this little one out.  He would play baseball everyday, all day if he could.

Bending It Like Beckham....

It is wild that Tucker is old enough to play soccer.  He barely turned 3, and the next week soccer season was in full force!  We signed him up through the local YMCA, which is one of the programs that DOESN'T play on Sunday.  He had lots of fun with his friends, and most games would rather tackle his friends than play the game.  Oh boys!  He did well considering he was the youngest kiddo out there .
Nate was able to coach this bunch of 3-4 year olds...he definitely had his work cut out for him...making sure kids stayed on the field was work all in itself.  That and keeping enough players on the field....some kiddos would rather sit out with their moms, others took frequent bathroom breaks, and some thought the playground looked more tempting than playing the game.  He did a good job keeping them under control :)
Our first practice...

 3 cheers for soccer!

Olympic Spirit

I don't know about any of you, but I am way excited for the summer olympics in August! I have been watching the trials on TV and have just loved it so far! It's weird...any other time of the year I probably wouldn't be caught watching track or swimming, or other various random events, but I guess I've caught the "Olympic Spirit!" I am very excited that the men's basketball team has 2 members of the Jazz, my fav Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer. Represent us well boys....go USA!

Go Bees!

Dad and Tucker's First Baseball Game

Tucker's Souvenir

What is more American than baseball, hot dogs, and fireworks? Not much. Nate's friend Josh, who he met on his mission, got tickets right behind home plate for the Bees game, so we couldn't refuse! We watched them play a double header, and it was fun. Tucker even seemed to enjoy himself....he's following in his daddy's footsteps, loving baseball! Thanks for the tickets Josh!

U.S. Open

Tiger in his traditional Sunday Championship Red

So call me crazy, but I love to watch golf.....when Tiger is playing that is. I don't know why, golf seems like the most boring sport to watch, and it is unless this man is playing. It's probably the fact that he is just so good! So for any of you golf fans that don't know, the U.S. Open starts tomorrow. Go Tiger!

We Got Them!

Ticket From 1971

Horseshoe Stadium

For those of your who may not know, Ohio State was in the national championship game the last 2 years. They are pretty serious about their football out there. So on June first at midnight, season tickets became available...and after some technical difficulties, we got them! Needless to say, they sold out within a few hours. I am way excited for these bigtime games! Ohio vs. Michigan is one of the biggest rivalries in the country, and this year they play in Columbus...we could end up selling these tickets for some good money if we want to! Tucker and Nate already have some Ohio State apparel for the games, I need to get some now.

Another Season Come and Gone....

First off, many of you know that Nate has been coaching Bonneville boys baseball for the last 3 seasons along with his dad and Russ Porter. This is his last year coaching as we are moving across the country. It was fun to see him coach with his dad and his brother was a sophmore on the team as well. They played 3 games in the playoffs and they are done for another year.

Next, another season for the Jazz is in the books. I am really bummed because they really had a chance to move on to the next round. Now I have no interest in watching the Lakers vs. Spurs series...the teams that always seem to be in these championship games. So no finals for the Jazz this year...but it is fun to remember the old days...maybe next year boys!

Ready For The Game

The playoffs are in full swing! The Jazz aren't doing so hot, but we cheer them on anyway. Nate bought me a Deron Williams jersey and I wear it for every game. We even try and get Tucker all ready for the game in his basketball pj's!

Go Jazz!

As many of you know, we are huge Jazz fans. I really don't love watching professional baseball with Nate, don't mind football, golf, or soccer, but absolutely love the Jazz and most basketball games. Now the Jazz are smack dab in the middle of the playoffs, and I can't miss a game! I love watching Deron Williams, Carlos Boozer, Kyle Korver, Memo, Millsap, and the rest of the team....especially when they are kicking butt! So far (for those of you who don't follow) they just won their 2 first round games at Houston, and now will come back to Salt Lake to hopefully shut them out. Go Jazz!
