Fishing in the Uintas

This is why Wade calls this "God's Country"

Alright people...this is my first official contribution to the world of blogging. Don't get too excited, this probably won't be a very frequent event. Anyway, Britni wanted me to write aboutmy recent fishing trip. Wade, Derek and myself just spent 4+ days in the High Uintas. We camped at Washington Lake, and hiked in to 5 other lakes, all between 1 and 2 1/2 miles from Washington. We packed our inflatable pontoon boats, and had an awesome time fly fishing and catching rainbow, tiger, and brook trout. It was a lot of fun, we caught a lot of fish, and saw some amazing country...as Wade puts it, "God's country". Washington Lake was at 10,000 ft. above sea level, and we were as high as 11,500. Britni was very impressed with all the pictures we took, and thought I'd better publish them, so here they are.

You should call me so we can talk over the phone, it would be much easier! But, it is so fun to live away from everyone. It does get lonely not being around your family and friends, but you two bond so much. The people are so friendly and there is so much to explore! You will find that you "make family" where ever you are. Are you two planning on renting or buying? We are renting. We would have loved to buy but it scared us to buy something in the condition the economy is in when we are going to be leaving in a couple years anyway. But, if you have any questions at all about moving, starting dental school, ect, call me. You will love it though! Keep me posted.

Seriously your family is adorable. Keeping it positive-it must be super hard to leave your little guy to go back to work, but at least you were smart and went straight for your education. You are an RN and can support your family while your spouse attends school. I wish I would have finished, but Andrew is now in school and we can't afford to both go at the same time. Oh and about those blocks Deborah made. You just cut 2x4's to a size you like. Cut scrap booking paper to fit the block. Apply mod podge on the back of the scrap book paper to apply and then over the top to make it shiny. And buy letters and glue them on top once the mod podge has dried. They turn out adorable. Good luck on finding a house. Andrew said hello.
