Being 4 is sure great. It's one of my favorite ages my kids have been in thus far. Still not going to full-time school, still loves to snuggle, still so innocent, trying new things, developing a fun personality and a sense of independence, being more of a helper, and getting smarter by the minute. 4 really is GREAT!
This poor 4-year old had his birthday during our moving week, so things may have been a little more anti-climatic than he would have hoped, but we squeezed in some fun things anyhow :) He requested gnocchi with pesto for his birthday dinner...CHECK!
And a chocolate cake with M&Ms....CHECK!And of course, a visit to see his favorite creepy mouse ;) (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE his face in this!) He said it was his best birthday ever, so he must not have felt jipped!
Other great things about being 4:
No one cares if your clothes are mismatched and you want to wear cowboy boots with shorts...
The simplest things get you super excited...like marshmallows on sticks!Imagination is always running wild...create a character with our dress up stuff is still a favorite.
You have a big brother to look up to and a little brother to be an example to. Life is good :)

Some things I want to remember about Gray at this age...
-He loves to sing popular songs on the radio! Right now he is always singing "We Are Young", "We Be Counting Stars", "Radioactive", and "Keep Your Head Up" just to name a few
-He is scared of people. But only certain people. I don't get it. In his last primary class, he was scared of half the kids in there.
-Some of his favorite phrases are "Awesome Possum Homemade Blossom", "Awkward", "Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy", and will frequently just blurt out a random "PANTS!" We love these :)
-He is working on a kindergarten workbook and is doing really well! He has 2 more years until Kindergarten....we'll have to keep him entertained until then.
-He is a picky eater, like super picky. He started off so well as a baby/toddler eating most things but has gotten extremely bad. If we offer him something he doesn't want or is unsure of, he works himself up so much in his mind that it will make him puke. SO ANNOYING! I'm not giving up yet :)
-He LOVES videogames. He would play 24/7 if I let him. We've had to set some major restrictions on that one!
-He is doing well with his bike and loves wearing his helmet.
